Table editor and policies

Tested with: Not yet available on Databasezy · describes the launch design

The table editor is a spreadsheet view of your Postgres tables in the portal, and the policy editor writes row-level security policies and manages roles without hand-written SQL.

  • Create tables and columns with types, defaults and constraints; pick foreign keys from the referenced table’s rows.
  • Edit, insert and delete rows inline; filter, sort and page through large tables.
  • Import and export CSV.
  • Turn row-level security on per table and see which tables are exposed through the Data API without it.
  • Start from templates (owner only, authenticated read, public read) and edit the generated using and with check expressions.
  • Create and grant Postgres roles.

Until then, the web console runs any SQL, and policies written by hand work exactly as above.
