Accessibility statement

Tested with: axe-core 4.10 · Lighthouse 12 · NVDA 2025.1 + Firefox · VoiceOver iOS 18

Databasezy, Inc. wants everyone to be able to use databasezy.com, the customer portal at app.databasezy.com, this documentation site and the zb command-line tool, regardless of ability or the technology they use. This statement is shared with databasezy.com/accessibility. Last updated 2026-09-27.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA on every page, and to Level AAA for text contrast where practical. This also covers our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 and EN 301 549.

The website and this documentation site are fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA as far as our automated and manual testing shows. The customer portal is partially conformant: the known issues below do not yet fully meet the standard.

  • WCAG 2.2 AA is a binding standard for every user-facing surface, enforced in code review and CI.
  • Automated checks on every change: axe-core on every route in light and dark mode at 375 px and 1280 px, keyboard-navigation tests, token contrast validation for both themes, a horizontal-overflow detector, and Lighthouse with an accessibility score that must stay at 95 or above on mobile.
  • Quarterly screen-reader walkthroughs (NVDA with Firefox, VoiceOver with Safari on iOS) of the ten most important flows, from signup to signing a BAA.
  • An annual third-party accessibility audit before enterprise renewals; we publish a VPAT / Accessibility Conformance Report from it.
  • Both colour themes are validated for contrast; nothing conveys state by colour alone; motion respects prefers-reduced-motion; Windows High Contrast keeps borders and focus visible.
IssueDetail
Code samples can require horizontal scrolling on narrow screensCode blocks are keyboard-scrollable and have a copy button; long connection strings may still need sideways scrolling. Line wrapping for connection strings is being evaluated.
Third-party embedsStripe-hosted checkout and invoices, and the status page, are provided by third parties. We pass on any issue you report and link to their statements where available.
Portal chartsMetric charts already provide a data table alternative; tap- and keyboard-reachable tooltips are rolling out with the next portal release.

Email [email protected] with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use.

Response time: we acknowledge every report within 2 business days and give you a fix date or a workaround within 10 business days. Reports that block signing in, paying, restoring a backup or reaching support are treated as incidents and handled the same day.

A VPAT 2.5 (WCAG edition) Accessibility Conformance Report is available for the website, the customer portal and this documentation. Request the current version from [email protected]; it is refreshed after each annual third-party audit.

Our sites rely on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript. Reading content works without JavaScript; interactive features (theme switch, copy buttons, search, the portal) need it. We test with current Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, and with NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack.
