Extensions

The extensions manager installs and removes Postgres extensions on an instance from a reviewed allow-list, at the version you choose. Open the instance in the portal and choose Extensions, or use the API.

Extensions marked Restart: Yes, once must be preloaded by the server. Turning one on restarts the instance once; the portal says so before you confirm. TimescaleDB instances have their own, shorter list.

The request is the complete desired list: extensions you leave out are removed.

Extensions outside the list cannot be installed, even with create extension. Ask support for one you need: every extension on the list is built, reviewed and tested on our images.
