Table editor and policies
Tested with: Not yet available on Databasezy · describes the launch design
The table editor is a spreadsheet view of your Postgres tables in the portal, and the policy editor writes row-level security policies and manages roles without hand-written SQL.
Table editor (at launch)
Section titled “Table editor (at launch)”- Create tables and columns with types, defaults and constraints; pick foreign keys from the referenced table’s rows.
- Edit, insert and delete rows inline; filter, sort and page through large tables.
- Import and export CSV.
Policy editor (at launch)
Section titled “Policy editor (at launch)”- Turn row-level security on per table and see which tables are exposed through the Data API without it.
- Start from templates (owner only, authenticated read, public read) and edit the generated
usingandwith checkexpressions. - Create and grant Postgres roles.
Until then, the web console runs any SQL, and policies written by hand work exactly as above.
